Childhood has a way of making one week feel like an entire season.
This painting was commissioned by my sister to celebrate the carefree summers she now shares with her two daughters at the beach. Watching them together reminds me so much of our own childhood—days spent riding bikes, chasing waves, building sandcastles, and squeezing every ounce of joy from a single week by the ocean.
As children, we never realize we're living the memories we'll treasure forever.
We simply play.
When Summer Lasted Forever is a celebration of those fleeting seasons when the days seemed endless, the worries were few, and the greatest adventure was waiting just outside the door.
Some summers eventually end.
The memories never do.
