The Keeper
Created to celebrate the traditions that bring generations together.
Some of my favorite memories on the water have very little to do with fishing.
I'm far from an experienced angler, yet somehow I have a habit of catching the biggest fish of the day—a running joke that never fails to amuse me... and mildly frustrate my husband.
I caught the redfish that inspired The Keeper while fishing along the Intracoastal Waterway. Like so many days spent on the coast, it wasn't really about what was on the end of the line. It was about slowing down, enjoying good company, and appreciating the quiet rhythm of life on the water.
The title carries a double meaning. In fishing, a "keeper" is a fish that's large enough to take home. But some memories become keepers too—moments that we take home with us long after the day is over.
