I painted Quiet Mornings after thinking back to an early morning spent on the Intracoastal Waterway, watching the sun rise over the marsh. The water was still, the air was crisp, and the first light of day transformed the grasses into shades of gold that seemed to glow from within.
There was very little conversation that morning.
There didn't need to be.
The beauty of the marsh quietly filled every moment, reminding me that some of life's most meaningful experiences aren't exciting or dramatic—they're simply peaceful enough that we almost miss them if we aren't paying attention.
Nature has a remarkable way of inviting us to slow down. The sunrise never hurries, the tides arrive exactly when they're meant to, and the marsh asks nothing of us except that we simply be present.
Quiet Mornings is a celebration of those rare moments when the world grows still enough for us to notice its quiet beauty.
Sometimes the greatest gift a place can give us is the reminder to slow down.
