Apollo

Apollo was painted as a heartfelt gift to honor a dog whose steady presence had become woven into everyday life. Small portraits like this are some of my favorite commissions because they capture not only a pet's likeness, but also the connection their family feels every time they look into those familiar eyes.

Though modest in size, Apollo demonstrates how expressive oil paint can be when every brushstroke is focused on preserving personality rather than simply recreating a photograph. My hope is that this painting serves as a lasting reminder of a faithful companion who brought joy, comfort, and unconditional love.
